Methods and Approach

The project does not aim for complete coverage but seeks to provide detailed, contextualized information about selected sites affected by conflicts. It presents data in an interactive web interface with geospatial and visual elements, making complex information accessible and engaging.

This approach aligns with the principles of Open Science and FAIR data. All data are openly accessible, licensed under permissive licenses, and stored in interoperable formats to facilitate reuse by researchers, educators, and the general public. The data and schema are shared via publicly available repositories, promoting transparency and collaborative development.

Technical Infrastructure and Future Plans

The shift to WissKI and the triple-structured data model marks a significant step toward a sustainable, interoperable platform. It allows integration with other linked data sources such as Wikidata, enabling more dynamic and connected datasets.
